Travel Tips on the go....

- Leather and fur are the norm during winter, mostly black but some brown. (Shopping tip?)
- Driving will be fast, bumpy and crazy. Forget about seatbelts.
- Good walking boots are a must in winter. It's cold, snowy and slippery and it's ALL UPHILL!
- Price your taxi ride before getting in.
- Take coats and shoes off as soon as you get inside. It's rude not to. They consider outdoor cloths dirty.
- Take snacks like cereal bars, cookies, gummies, goldfish, fruit rollups.
- Take Wet Wipes.
- Only exchange enough USD for a few days. Don't carry wads of cash.
- Bring travel size toiletries and shop in Kiev.
- Slippers and lounge clothes for inside. Wear street clothes only to go out.
- One week's underwear is enough. Wash and hang dry as you go.
- One dress up outfit is enought for SDA, Orphanage director, court and church. It doesn't need to be a suit.

- Take pictures of EVERYTHINg of you'll regret it later.
- Learn Russian, not Ukrainian.
- Be sure to buy some flowers, eat lots of chocolate and don't be afraid to eat the salads. They're yummy.
- If you plan to visit any cathedrals, take a head scarf for each female in your group.
