Immigration Update

posted Sunday, 18 December 2005

Okay, so I received a letter from the local DCIS office.  It was a form letter that says that our I-600 is in progress but needs further submissions from us.  Below that is a list of things to request and a check by the "Other" .  It further says that our file is complete and that we can't get an appointment for our new fingerprints until they are "about to expire".  No amendment for our I 171 is included.

I am not sure what to think of this.  I don't have a document to show the NAC that has our current address on it.  This letter is ambiguous in that it says that more information is required but our file is complete.  This sounds like govenrment doublespeak to me.

We will set this aside for now.  I will pursue it when we get our appointment letter, or mid-January, whichever comes first.  I still have several other documents to get apostilled for our update package.  And, we go back to waiting, for a buyer for our house and for a letter from Ukraine.  Fortunately, the house we want to buy is still on the market.  Maybe God is holding it for us!

Please continue to pray for us!
